Rooster Classic Hikers
Rooster Classic Hikers are an iconic part of the Rooster range, being one of the first products brought out.
Both Fresh and Marsh really rate these hikers. They were one of the first bits of kit that each of us bought as juniors that were transformative for our sailing, allowing us to hike more comfortably and race harder.
The Classic Hikers feature 10.5" batten pads at the back of the upper leg, which allow for a good connection with the boat. The battens are made in 3 parts enabling them to shape around the leg for maximum comfort and hiking longevity.
Extra padding at the knee pads provides additional comfort whilst a thinner superstretch neoprene is used behind the knee to ensure a comfortable fit on the majority of leg sizes, and when in bent position.
The ¾ length fit finishes just below the knee and these Hikers also work great when worn over PolyPro Leggings or a Thermaflex Long John for when extra warmth is needed, or Rash legs for UV protection.
We recommend hand washing your hikers in warm soapy water and allowing to air dry.

A note on fit, while it’s down to personal preference, we would generally suggest to size down slightly if you are in between sizes.
This is because neoprene tends to ease up and stretch a little when it gets wet, so a tighter fit allows for this.
Of course, this does make it harder to get into the wetsuit so do bear this in mind - this is where the personal preference comes into it!
